In today’s society of technology and pressure, it can be hard for children to “quiet their minds” and focus on tasks ahead.

Practicing mindfulness can help shift the focus away from worry and anxiety and help children focus. Mindfulness techniques help children manage stress, regulate their emotions, and develop a positive outlook.
Mindfulness is a meditation practice that begins with paying attention to breathing in order to focus on the here and now, not what happened in the past or what you’re worried could happen in the future.
The goal is to teach the children how to create enough distance from disturbing thoughts and emotions to be able to observe them without immediately reacting to them and dealing with them at the right time in the right way.
